Final Fantasy IX - Consumable Items
There are a number of consumable items in Final Fantasy IX; they are split into a few categories:
- Recovery Items - Items used to heal your characters; Hp restoration, MP restoration and Status Effect recovery.
- Offensive Items - Items used to deal damage or inflict status effects on a target.
- Jewels -
Items used for healing HP in battle and as add-ons to provide abilities and summons.
Recovery Items

| Echo Screen | 50 Gil | Cures Silence status ailment. |

| Ether | 500 Gil * | Restores 100 MP outside of battle and 150 MP in battle. Potency is doubled if used by character with Chemist ability. |
| Eye Drops | 50 Gil | Cures Darkness status ailment. |
| Gysahl Greens | 80 Gil | In battle: Cures Berserk status ailmant. Field: Used to call a Chocobo. |
| HI-Potion | 200 Gil | Restores 300 HP outside of battle and 450 HP in battle. Potency doubles if used by character with Chemist ability. One is used automatically when a character who has Auto-Potion is hit. |
| Magic Tag | 100 Gil | Cures Zombie status ailment. |
| Phoenix Down | 150 Gil |
Revives a single character from KO with a small percentage of HP either in battle or outside battle. If used on an undead, it will reduce HP to <10 HP or Kill them. |
| Phoenix Pinion | 300 Gil ** | Revives a single character from KO with a small percentage of HP in battle ONLY. If used on an undead, it will reduce HP to <10 HP or Kill them. Used to teach Eiko Phoenix Summon. |
| Potion | 50 Gil | Restores 100 HP outside of battle and 150 HP in battle. Potency doubles if used by character with Chemist ability. One is used automatically when a character who has Auto-Potion is hit. |
| Remedy | 300 Gil | Cures the following status ailments: Stop, Poison, Venom, Mini, Gradual Petrify, Silence and Darkness. Can be used by Quina for her Angel's Snack ability. |
| Soft | 100 Gil | Cures Gradual Petrity and Petrify status ailments. |
| Tent | 800 Gil | Field: Use when talking to Moguo or a Save Moogle to restore 50% of max HP & MP to all party members. In Battle: Fully restores HP but with a 1/2 chance to cause Poison, Darkness and Silence on the target. |
| Vaccine | 100 Gil | Cures Virus status ailment. |
* Cost to synthesize a Vaccine and Echo Screen at Hades.
** Cost to synthesize a Phoenix Down and Gysahl Greens at Hades.

* Deals 30 damage for each Dead pepper in inventory. * Used to find hidden treasures in mountain cracks and ocean bubbles. * Grants access to Chocobo's Air Garden and Mognet Central. |
