Final Fantasy VIII - Quezacotl (GF)

A bird-like creature with command over Thunder-Elemental power.


This is one of the first GF's you will get in the game and is acquired by going to your desk and opening the Tutorial menu before leaving for the Fire Caves with Quistis.


In the US & European releases, if you do not go to the Tutorial menu, Quistis will give you this GF before leaving anyway. In the Japanese release, you will not get the GF if you fail to access the tutorial menu.


Unique Abilities:

  • T Mag-RF - Allows you to refine items into Thunder/Wind Magic.
  • Mid Mag-RF - Allows you to upgrade low-level magic into mid-level magic.
  • Card Mod - Allows you to make items out of Triple Triad Cards.

Attack Information

Attack Name: Thunder Storm

Attack Description: Dark thundering clouds blast powerful lightning at the ground, summoning Quezacotl. As the massive bird arises from the earth, it creates a large energy field around the enemy. A channel of intense electrical energy is blasted upon the enemy.
