In the town of Kalm, you can find a man known as the Kalm Traveller on the top level of the building on the right (1).
After Meteor has been summoned, he begins to panic and will give you clues to 3 items he wants to find:
- A map that was sunk along with the ship... "Guidebook"
- A rose that blooms every 1000 years in the desert... "Desert Rose"
- A harp that soothes those who hear it... "Earth Harp"
These items can be found in the following locations:
- Guidebook: In the glass pathway to the Underwater Reactor, there is an enemy called Ghost Ship which can be morphed into the Guidebook. This enemy has an attack that can eject a party member from battle.
- Desert Rose: Defeat Ruby Weapon to get the item. Ruby Weapon is a hard battle; see the Ruby Weapon Section for details.
- Earth Harp: Defeat Emerald Weapon to get the item. Emerald Weapon is a hard battle; see the Emerald Weapon Section for details.
Once you have all the items, go back to the Kalm Traveller and give him the items. He will reward you with:
- Guidebook: Underwater Materia (Equip to fight Emerald Weapon. Removes 20 Minute time limit)
- Desert Rose: Gold Chocobo (Can run up mountains and over water)
- Earth Harp: Master Materia for Summon, Magic & Command (Gives all Summons, Magic & Commands with Master Level)
