here are only a few Key Items in the game compared to many others in the series and these items have special, unique uses.

| Girl Next Door | A naughty magazine used to trade with Zone for either 25,000 Gil or a Rename Card. | Found in a pile of magazines in the Timber Maniacs building. |
| Magical Lamp | Used to summon Diablos GF to fight and become a part of your team. | Before the Timber mission, after being briefed by Headmaster Cid, talk to him again to obtain the lamp. |
| Solomon Ring | Used to summon Doomtrain GF | Tear's Point |
